Creation 2005 / direction : Renate Heitmann (Bremer Shakespeare Company)

While physics tries to explain scientifically the phenomenons and laws of Nature, Circus Quantenschaum's artists transform physical metaphors into circus acts. Models, rythms, diversity, paradoxes, flows transformations, irrationalities, ingenuities, fulcrums, rotations... ... What is the meaning of separation between objects when a flow circulates between them?

Falling, evaluating, flying, observing, jumping, hanging, juggling : the images, artists and musicians of Circus Quantenschaum present us an irrational world, and yet perfectly understandable, where Time rapidly passes and suddenly freezes; where forms disappear and re-appear, where Space expands and contracts again...

Come and enjoy the paradoxal possibilities, the everyday life and "normality" dissolving into a poetic ''Quantic foam'' (Quantenschaum)...

See CIRCUS QUANTENSCHAUM at next Tollwood Festival in Munich (Germany), from 14th of June til 9th of July 2006!

Press review:

(...) It is indeed physics. But what spectators see under the beautiful circus tent, is everything but boring lessons on electricity. (...) - Bild Bremen, 05.09.2005

(...) Bravo for the artists that easily defy the laws of gravity ! It was the purpose of Renate Heitmann's dream, from the Bremer Shakespeare Company, which was made true on the occasion of "Bremen, city of science 2005". (...) The evening ends with silver molecules dancing in the air, to the crackling sound of joyful drums. For a moment, you get the feeling that you can almost touch the laws of quantum physics. (...) - Weser Kurier, 05.09.2005

(...) Under the tent, the audience is seated on both sides of the stage, but realizes that only at the end of the show. Behind white curtains, acrobats juggle, and twist themselves, while masked characters with children voices appear on several occasions to state theorems such as: ''All that can be credible is an image of reality'' (...) - TAZ, 24.08.2005
